We headed straight for Jonker Street and saw the beautifully restored shop houses. A very good job I must say.
The courtyard is so rustic, its really worth taking pictures.
There is also accomodation but it was full and so it would be smart to book ahead online.
On the HOT Malacca afternoon calls for Durian Chendol in San Shu Gong which is at the corner of Jonker Street and Tun Tan Cheng Lock. The packaging is really innovative.
Durian cooked with Gula Melaka makes for an aromatic dessert and no doubt a favourite as seen by the long queues.
At night - satay Chelup. A pot of Satay sauce in the middle and a buffet of sticks of food (crab sticks, fishball, vegetable, sausage, fish, pork, etc. etc.) The worry is how many people shared the pot beofre us - eeek!
